Busy busy

My last few. I'm quite pleaded with all of these.

Decals are go

Well the decals are on, and apart from the black anti glare decal they have behaved impeccable. Even the red fuselage break band has settled beautifully. I need to trim around the windscreen when it's dry.

All the moving parts have had a wash of the Vallejo black shade. I put a few drops onto an old pringle crisp lid and then add a couple of drops of airbrush cleaner to it and let the capillary action take care of the rest.

Orange anyone

Well the the main colour is on. I now have to mask the leading edges on all the flying surfaces and paint the aluminum colour on. For this I'm going to try my new Gunze metalizer paint.

MB326

Well being 1/72 scale it was never going to take long to go together. So this is where we're at after about an hour. The kit itself isn't too bad, raised panel lines and no detail in the cockpit. The seats have some nice molded detail. I'm looking forward to painting this one, some Tamiya orange X6 will do nicely.

Next please

The starfighter is finished, the desk is tidy so it must be time for the next one.

The Italeri MB 326 is next to the desk. I don't know much about this aircraft other than it was a training aircraft made in Italy used by the south Africans, Australians and a few other places. If I'm honest this model has only pushed it's way to the top of the pile because of its colour. ORANGE !

Time to get tango'ed !

Shiny with a white nose

I'm nearly ready for some decals. A few coats of of Klear have been sprayed on and as you can see it now has the white nose. The green anti glare panel is supplied as two decals so I'm going to use them instead of masking and spraying it. The only thing stopping me at the moment - WORK !

Oh well I'll have to get up in the morning and be productive for a change.

My first little one

The Airfix ambulance was actually bought by my wife because it was in the sale. I have to admit it sat in my stash for ages. Then one day I thought I would have a go at it. The Tornado is the hasegawa kit. The hawk is a bit of a mish mash , it's my version of the T2 in use with the RAF at the moment.

Never built

I've never made a model of a F104. So here is my attempt of the Italeri kit. The kit is a G but I've turned it into an Italian S version. The only real external differences I can see are the cannon port fared over and the addition of two ventral strakes.

Well what happened in 2012 ?

Well lots actually. I've strayed away from 1/48 everything. Got my first Iwata airbrush, and I still can't use lifecolour paints.
